Words on the Wire
I've never actually done a blogpost shitfaced, and after all the 'hiding behind fiction' I can now reveal myself to you in all my splendidness:
You are real.
With real lives.
Husbands, children, lovers.
When you walk through air, it moves.
You touch and are touched.
You scream and pray and whisper
into someone's ear.
And they are there
in all their corporeal glory
to hear you, in all yours.
I am
just words
on the wire.

You are more than words.
You are the a leap in a heartbeat,
you are a catch of breath.
You are a pulse of arousal,
you are a sting of tears.
You are the inspiration that strings those words together, the fingers that weave them into emotions.
A) I will not be casting the first stone.
B) Words are harder to kill.
Love it! I've said it before but your descriptive powers and imagery is incredibly vivid - and I LOVE that you do poetry, because the words you use in your stories are so loaded and powerful, it comes through even stronger when you condense it into poetry.
I also love your structure! I love the two separate stanza's one full of description and meanings and in free verse, and then we come to the last stanza and it is humble in words and description.
That would be a great title for your first print collection of short stories. I'd love to see a book that gave your stories and shared something of the process. Perhaps an ebook would be the most appropriate. Great title for a podcast series too.
I like the referenc3 ro Leonard Cohen,
I hope you realise that your words have us all on a wire.
